Taranaki Bulk is an offshoot of Agtrans, a crane rental and heavy haulage company, and provides bulk storage options for the South Taranaki area.

/ The Challenge
Due to increase demand, Taranaki Bulk required a new large building to develop its covered storage capacity. The building must be robust and stand the test of time due to heavy machinery moving items around inside.
Requirements

/ The Solution
In this instance, XL provided the full design and supplied the building as a kitset for the owner to arrange the installation of the shed.
The building was designed with a 28m clearspan portal using XL Structural Steel's unique RHS portal design.
The XL building system is easy and efficient to install with strong bolted connections. The bolted connections also save the need for obtrusive knee braces and apex braces giving maximum headroom throughout the building.
