Six large sliding doors with a clearance of 26m x 5m to accommodate the size of aircraft being moved, housed, and worked on in the hangar. Sleek enclosed rafters to provide minimal bird roosting areas.

The property owners came to us, following on from another project being completed on the Kerikeri airfield. The current tenants are Merlin Aviation, who were featured earlier this year in the NZ Herald.
/ The Challenge
The ground had geotechnical issues, due to expansive ground. With changes in moisture levels, the volume of soil was prone to fluctuations.
/ The Solution
The foundations were optimised in the design by our Structural and Geotechnical engineers to remedy the expansive earth issue.
